Join us for The Dartmoor Tea Gathering Sept.12th-14th 2025

Pitch up and kick back for weekend of tea and friendship !

We are opening the farm and welcome tea lovers to come together for a weekend of fireside talks, crafts and activities. Share your passion, tea and tea stories, learn new skills and meet new friends all set amongst the beautiful surroundings of the tea gardens. We have an exciting and developing schedule of events which includes


  • Tea garden tours

  • Tasting sessions

  • Qigong on the Tea Lawn

  • Tea and tea-ware exchange

  • Riverside Tea (& Wild swimming)

  • Tea Picking (Bring a basket)

  • Camping

  • Crafts, Quizzes, Campfire stories, Evening Bar and much, much more !

We hope this will become an annual event that can develop and grow with you. If you have a skill or particular area of interest that you would like to include as a workshop, demonstration, activity or discussion group please get in touch and we would love to have you involved.

Open Garden Event "Glorious Green Tea"

It’s a special time here at the Estate as we celebrate our first tea of the season, our first flush green tea –Dartmoor Ancient Forest. Alongside our tea menu will be a range of other fine teas to explore and compare, a perfect accompaniment to the spring sunshine.

A Day In The Plantation - Picking and Making Green Tea

This event is held throughout our growing season. £295 per person

An absolute must for all tea lovers, we are delighted to offer participants the unique opportunity to spend a day with us here at Dartmoor Estate Tea learning the art of tea making. The relevance of each process will be explored before we head out into the plantation to harvest the leaf, or into the microfactory to sort, pan roast and then hand roll it. After the final stage of drying, we will celebrate with a taste test to examine the specific flavour profile and qualities we have achieved through our love and labour!

Dartmoor Tea Ceremony & Introduction to Fine Tea

This event is held throughout our open season. £35 per person

This workshop is a fabulous entry to the world of fine tea drinking and serving. Beginning with our Dartmoor Tea Ceremony, participants will be able taste some of our own teas before moving onto exploring tea and tea ware from around the world. Using simple techniques, the flavour and qualities of each tea will be revealed, with everyone having the opportunity to develop their skills in the preparation and appreciation of fine tea.

Guided Plantation Tour of Dartmoor Estate Tea with Tasting

This Event runs twice a week throughout our season. £18.50 per person

Join us on a light hearted yet informative tour through our tea gardens. Hear about the trials and tribulations of our extraordinary adventure growing tea on the edge of Dartmoor. Learn about tea's origins, how it's grown and how it's processed. On return to the Tea House you will then have the opportunity to sample one of our award winning teas...an experience not to be missed!
