Dartmoor Estate Tea was set up specifically to explore the viability of tea growing in the UK. In the absence of any field tested evidence to support the introduction of Tea as a novel crop, our teams aim was to create a body of knowledge, founded on “real world” experience that could form the basis of a nascent UK grown Tea industry.

With over a decade of farm based field trials, extensive study and training at leading tea education and research establishments across the world, we have developed a comprehensive understanding of the challenges and rewards of UK tea production. We are able to offer a range of services to support individuals, private businesses, public bodies, educational and research facilities and the media, who have an interest in this amazing plant.
